On this page, I’m building a collection of tools that I’ve used or have had recommended to me. There are all sorts of useful applications, systems and websites that are a great way to make life easier, automate your business or move you towards a more mobile worklife and lifestyle.
I’ll hold my hand up and tell you that where I use a tool and want to recommend it to others, I always become an affiliate – so if you do click through on any of the links and make a purchase, I will receive a small commission from the website concerned. That’s one of the ways that I’m building a passive income business – and I encourage you to do the same!
Autoresponders & E-Mail List Management
These web-based tools work in conjunction with your website to automatically respond to new subscribers, deliver email courses or a series of sales messages and to send great looking newletters and the like. The ability to segment your list and view the performance of your email marketing campaigns are also included. Monthly subscription plans are available and generally work on a combination of the number of email addresses in your list and the volume of emails you send each month.
I’m trialling both offerings at present. Your final decision may come down to price and how usable you find the interface.
Probably the best known, and certainly one of the longest established tools:
Coming up on the heels of AWeber, MailChimp has a free account that’s great for when you are just getting started – send up to 12,000 emails in total to a list of up to 2,000 subscribers. So you can start for free here, see how it goes and if you need to switch to something like AWeber later on.
